Joe’s Crab Shack Appoints Jeffrey Rager as Chief Financial Officer

HOUSTON (April 10, 2008) – Joe’s Crab Shack today announces the appointment of Jeffrey Rager as chief financial officer. Rager’s previous financial leadership in the retail and food services industry aligns with Joe’s corporate goal of reinvigorating its brand to further its profitable growth.

"Jeffrey Rager brings tremendous experience working with well-known restaurants and retail brands – he will be a great asset to the management team at Joe’s Crab Shack," said CEO Ray Blanchette. “Jeff’s expertise in operations and financial growth, in addition to his fresh ideas will keep Joe’s moving in the right direction.”

As CFO, Rager is responsible for creating, coordinating and evaluating the company’s financial programs, as well as analyzing financial statements. As part of the senior management team, Rager will also establish and implement short- and long-rage department goals, policies and operating procedures. He reports to Ray Blanchette, CEO.

Prior to joining Joe’s, Rager served as the vice president of finance for Mast Industries, a division of Limited Brand, Inc. He also worked for Yum! Brands, KFC Division, in a number of leadership roles, including senior director of planning and senior director of operations. While at Yum!, Rager improved overall operational and financial performance of a $600 million portfolio and led a three-year plan that built an economic model for growth. Rager also oversaw a product launch that resulted in record-setting sales.

Rager holds a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
